Community Wassail at Sherbourne Valley Allotments 2024 and 2025

In 2024 we were approached by Flawed Mandrake Theatre company to support a new community Wassail event for Sherbourne Valley Allotments in Coventry. We provided traditional folk music as well as new compositions specific to the location. We taught the public our own  Sherbourne Valley Wassail Song before they joined us as we paraded around the allotment, waking up the trees, following the puppet of the wassail queen made by Flawed Mandrake Theatre. Supported by Food  Union Coventry and the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, the event was a huge success and we were asked back the following year for a much larger event, providing more music for a longer participatory lantern parade to the allotments as well reviving our Sherbourne Valley Wassail Song for a growing number of people.
